On Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 5 p.m., Rowan University will continue the tradition started last year of having a grand, single University ceremony followed by College ceremonies throughout the week. The University program will be a festive celebration complete with live music, inspirational speakers, the conferral of student degrees and, afterward, a party for students, families and friends.
The College ceremonies, including CMSRU’s Commencement event, will be held throughout the week so students can celebrate their accomplishments with the faculty and staff of their respective Colleges and be called by name to receive their diplomas.
If you choose to attend the University-Wide Main Ceremony, you will wear your robes and tams; hoods will not be worn until the CMSRU event on May 16. You will process into the venue with graduates from all of Rowan’s doctoral, graduate and undergraduate schools. Degrees will be conferred en masse; you will not be called to the stage individually. Watch for the announcement regarding the Commencement speaker for the University-Wide Main Ceremony during February.
Graduation Applications are due by February 19, 2019.
Confirm Commencement participation by April 1, 2019.
Students must confirm participation in University-Wide Ceremony and the CMSRU Ceremony by April 17.
