About Me

Rakesh P. Mashru, MD is a native of South Jersey and attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI for his undergraduate studies.  He went on to complete his medical school training at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ.  After completing his orthopaedic surgical residency at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, Dr. Mashru went to finish his Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship at the world renowned Campbell Clinic with the University of Tennessee in Memphis, TN  

Dr. Mashru is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.  He is an active member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.  Dr. Mashru is a published author in many peer reviewed orthopaedic journals and has given lectures and spoken on numerous orthopaedic trauma topics nationally and internationally.  His current interests include adult and pediatric fractures, slow and non-healing fractures, and high energy trauma.
