Important Dates and Deadlines
Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU) accepts students on a rolling basis. Applicants should apply and complete application requirements early to guarantee consideration for admission.
*CMSRU generally does not extend deadlines for applications, however based on the evolving status of the pandemic this may be subject to change.
2025
| April 30 | Students are requested to hold only one acceptance (Association of American Medical Colleges [AAMC] guidelines) |
| April 30 | Deadline for submitting a tuition deposit refund request in writing |
| July 1 | Final transcripts due in CMSRU Registrar's Office |
| Second week in August | Orientation/Classes begin |
| Early May | American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) applications available |
| Early June | AMCAS applications may be submitted |
| Late June/Early July | Applications may be downloaded from AMCAS database |
| August 1 | Deadline for Early Decision application, including official transcripts, Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) scores and Letters of Recommendation in AMCAS |
| August 15 | Deadline for Early Decision Applicants to complete secondary applications |
| August - September | Early decision applicants invited for interview |
| August - September | Early decision candidates notified of admissions decision |
| August - March | Selected regular applicants invited for interviews |
| September 30 | Last acceptable date to take the MCAT for current admissions cycle |
| October 15 - March | Offers of admission to regular M.D. applicants are made on a rolling basis (admitted students are asked to accept the offer within 2 weeks) |
| November 15 | Deadline for submitting a regular application to AMCAS |
| December 15 | Deadline for regular applicants to submit letters of recommendation (via AMCAS), secondary application, and application fee to CMSRU |
2026
