About Me

Dr. Pancheshnikov is an attending urogynecologist at the Urogynecology Division at Cooper University Health Care and the Director of the Center for Global Health and Global Health Education (CGHed) at the Cooper Medical School of Rowan University. She received her bachelor’s degree in Hispanic Studies with a minor in Latin American and Latino Studies at Brandeis University, graduating Magna Cum Laude and inducted into the prestigious honors Phi Beta Kappa Society. Before starting her medical career, she received a Fulbright Fellowship, collaborating with researchers from Santiago, Dominican Republic (DR) to examine knowledge, access and utilization of mother-to-child HIV transmission resources among pregnant women in the DR. Dr. Pancheshnikov received her MD degree from Harvard Medical School, and completed Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Yale New Haven Hospital. She then completed her Urogynecology – Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University. Throughout her medical education and training, she continued to participate and lead various global health programs, and founded an initiative which aims to develop urogynecology education, training, and service in Latin America and the Caribbean. She is a board-certified Obstetrician Gynecologist through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a fellowship trained subspecialty surgeon in Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery (URPS). 

Dr. Pancheshnikov has published various peer-reviewed publications and has presented her work at many academic conferences in the U.S. and abroad. She has held leadership positions and is an active member of various medical societies and organizations. Her areas of expertise include vaginal, laparoscopic and robotic surgery for the treatment of urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, fecal incontinence, pelvic fistula and periurethral masses. Her areas of special interest include global health, health equity, reducing health disparities, and medical education and simulation. She is fluent in five languages including English, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Hebrew.
