Direct Linkage Agreements for Various Health Professions Programs
Allopathic Medicine Programs
Direct Linkage from CMSRU Post Baccalaureate to CMSRU MD Program
Each year, up to 4 students who have completed the Post Baccalaureate program will be eligible for an automatic interview to CMSRU’s MD program. Students must meet all of the guidelines below. No exceptions will be made due to the competitive nature of this linkage agreement. Eligible students will interview during the normal interview season.
Eligibility to Interview (Up to 4 students max)
- Undergraduate Science GPA of at least 3.2
- Post Baccalaureate GPA of 3.7 or higher
- MCAT score at approximately the 60th percentile
- 20 hours or more of community service within the Camden community
Contingencies to Matriculate
- Completion of CMSRU Advanced Premedical Post Baccalaureate Program
- Meet all CMSRU MD prerequisites (view here)
Osteopathic Medicine Programs
Direct Linkage from CMSRU Post Baccalaureate to Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine's (PCOM) DO Program
Each year up to 3 students who have completed the Post Baccalaureate program will be eligible for an automatic interview to PCOM’s DO program. No exceptions will be made due to the competitive nature of this linkage agreement. Eligible students will interview during the normal interview season.
Eligibility to Interview
- Completed course requirements as listed in PCOM’s catalog
- Earned a minimum GPA of 3.25 in CMSRU's Post Baccalaureate program-
- Earned a minimum composite score of 504 of the MCAT
- Earned a minimum score of 126 in each section of the MCAT
- The MCAT should be taken no later than the first available date in June (of the year you are applying)
- Submitted an application through AACOMAS no later than October 31st (of the year you are applying)
- Submitted the PCOM supplemental application (with application fee) no later than November 30th (of the year you are applying)
- Submitted a letter of recommendation from an Osteopathic Physician (D.O.)
- Submitted a letter of recommendation from the CMSRU Post Baccalaureate program Director

Podiatric Medicine Programs
Direct Linkage from CMSRU Post Baccalaureate to New York College of Podiatric Medicine’s DPM Program
Each year up to 5 students who have completed the Post Baccalaureate program will be eligible for an interview to NYCPM’s DPM program. No exceptions will be made due to the competitive nature of this linkage agreement. Eligible students will interview during the normal interview season.
Eligibility to Interview
- Completed pre-requisite coursework at a regionally accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education
- Student must have maintained a 3.0 grade point average (on a 4.00 scale) in all of their undergraduate course work, a 3.0 science grade point average and a 3.4 grade point average in the CMSRU Post Baccalaureate program
- A student must complete each course with a “B” or higher in order to be eligible for this agreement
- Fulfill the admissions requirements of the New York College of Podiatric medicine as outlined below:
- A timely and satisfactory formal application
- Three letters of evaluation of an acceptable level of endorsement
- Recommendation/Advisor Letter by the CMSRU Post Baccalaureate Program Director
- Official MCAT scores at least equal to the 40th percentile
- A minimum of 20 documented hours of community service while in the CMSRU Post Baccalaureate program
- A documented clinical shadowing experience with at least one Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, as supplied by NYCPM
- A satisfactory evaluation in a personal interview
Contingencies to Matriculate
- Completion of CMSRU Advanced Premedical Post Baccalaureate Program
Direct Linkage from CMSRU Post Baccalaureate to Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine’s DPM Program
Each year up to 2 students who have completed the Post Baccalaureate program will be eligible for an interview into Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine’s DPM Program. No exceptions will be made due to the competitive nature of this linkage agreement. Eligible students will interview during the normal interview season.
Eligibility to Interview
Candidates from CMSRU’s Post Baccalaureate Program must:
- meet Temple’s admissions standards in effect at the time of application to Temple including required coursework, grades, standardized test scores, and any other admissions criteria as determined by Temple
- attain a 3.3 or higher graduate grade point average on a 4.0 scale, and a a 3.2 or higher cumulative graduate science grade point average on a 4.0 scale
- achieve an MCAT test score at or above the 45th percentile of participants for the exam date submitted, which may be taken no later than January of the year which the student applies
- apply to Temple through the American Association of Colleges of Podiatric Medicine Admission Service (AACPMAS)
- submit their application by no later than January 1st of the application cycle
- complete an on-campus interview at Temple
