Careers in Medicine

The Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) offers the Careers in Medicine program (CiM® Program), an important student resource throughout the four years. It follows a longitudinal, phase-based career advising plan that students are encouraged to follow. The CiM® Program will help with self-exploration of careers and exploring career options (AAMC Careers in Medicine login required).

The CiM program includes four steps:

2. Explore Options 
3. Choose Your Specialty 
4. Prepare for Residency
