Ph.D. in Cancer Cell Biology and Genomics
Program Overview
The Department of Biomedical Sciences at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU) proudly offers a Ph.D. in Cancer Cell Biology and Genomics (CCBG). This program will provide doctoral students with an outstanding education in all aspects of cancer biology. The course of study is heavily focused on laboratory-based discovery of novel aspects of cancer biology, leading to the identification of new therapeutic targets.
The CCBG program is a central component of the Camden Cancer Research Center, a collaborative framework spanning CMSRU, MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper, and the Coriell Institute for Medical Research. Faculty within the program are experts in a wide variety of topics related to cancer biology, treatment, and diagnosis. By integrating hands-on laboratory training with bioinformatics, computational genomics, and translational cancer research, the program will prepare graduates for high-demand careers in academia, biotechnology, and the pharmaceutical industries.
Students will receive financial assistance in the form of a yearly stipend to cover living costs/expenses.
