Important Dates


Select each date/time period below to review recommended action items for those interested in applying for financial aid at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU).

  • File the 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online with your 2022 tax year documents by logging onto studentaid.gov.
    • Please use Rowan University’s School Code: 002609.
    • Your Federal Student Aid-FSA ID is required to electronically sign your application.
    • Please log onto studentaid.gov/fsa-id prior to completing your electronic application in order to obtain your FSA ID.  
    • It is recommended that students consent for their Federal Tax Information (FTI) to be retrieved directly from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), if applicable.
  • Complete the CMSRU Institutional Form for consideration of institutional need based scholarship aid (accepted students only).
  • Applications for external/private scholarships commence. Students must notify CMSRU Financial Aid Services Administrators via email (financialaid@coopermed.rowan.edu) if external/private scholarships are expected.
  • Priority review is provided to applicants who submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by this date.
  • Priority review is provided to applicants who submit the CMSRU Institutional Form (need-based scholarship application) by this date.
    • The CMSRU Institutional Form will be reviewed in conjunction with a complete FAFSA with submitted federal tax information.
    • Parental income/assets are required on the CMSRU Institutional Form for consideration of these scholarships, unless the student provides an unusual circumstance or the student is married (if applicable, income/assets for the spouse are required on the FAFSA).
  • Deadline to submit the FAFSA.
  • Deadline to submit the CMSRU Institutional Form.
  • Complete the below financial aid requirements online at studentaid.gov.
    • All first-time borrowers must complete Federal Direct Loan Entrance Counseling.
    • All first-time borrowers must sign a Federal Direct Loan Master Promissory Note-MPN.
    • If additional funding is needed, apply for a credit based Federal Graduate PLUS Direct Loan OR
    • Apply for a credit based Private/Alternative education loan directly with any lender you choose.
