The Edward D. Viner Center for Humanism supports a compassionate clinical environment for faculty by offering opportunities to grow as practitioners, educators, and communicators. The programs it champions include:
Teaching with Empathy And Championing Humanism, or TEACH
This is a longitudinal faculty development series offered each spring for up to 20 clinical faculty members. The program focuses on fostering curiosity, community building, and reflection on shared experiences to support humanistic patient care and teaching skills for clinical faculty members.

Faculty lead this evidence-based communication training for practitioners throughout Cooper University Health Care.
Commensality
The Center supports small groups of physicians who meet regularly to share meals and reflect on their life in medicine. Questions address realms such as “Your Profession,” “Professional Growth,” “Managing Day to Day,” “ Work-Life Integration,” “Relationships,” and “Self-Care.
