MD/PhD Program

For candidates with a background in Biomedical Engineering, Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU) offers a dual-degree MD/PhD program in conjunction with the Department of Biomedical Engineering of Rowan University.

Interested candidates should select MD/PhD as their application type and complete the additional sections of their AMCAS application indicating their motivation for applying to the program, as well as a description of their research experiences. Applicants to the program undergo the same initial screening, interview process, and admissions committee consideration as regular applicants to CMSRU. AMCAS applications for candidates will be forwarded by CMSRU to the Department of Biomedical Engineering of Rowan University for consideration. Acceptance into this program requires successful completion of both the Rowan University PhD program and CMSRU MD program admissions processes.
