Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine
In his role as Assistant Dean for Curriculum, Phase II at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU), Dr. Sundip Patel is responsible for development and coordination of the third and fourth years of the medical school curriculum.
Dr. Patel is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at CMSRU. Dr. Patel earned his medical degree from UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and completed his Emergency Medicine residency at Cooper University Hospital, serving as Chief Resident during his final year in residency. Upon completion of his residency, he joined the faculty of the Emergency Department at Cooper University Hospital and served as the Emergency Medicine clerkship director for 15 years. Dr. Patel aided in the development of the inaugural curriculum for CMSRU. During his time at the medical school, he has served as an ALG facilitator since the start of the medical school and was the Director of the Fourth Year for five years, overseeing the mandatory fourth year clerkships, electives, and visiting student programs.
