Nirandra Mahamitra, MD

Associate Professor of Family Medicine

Dr. Mahamitra is an Associate Professor of Family Medicine at CMSRU.  Dr. Mahamitra received his undergraduate degree at the Pennsylvania State University, a law degree from Temple University, and a medical degree from St. George’s University.  He completed his Residency with Drexel University and Primary Care Faculty Development Fellowship with Michigan State University.

Upon completion of Residency, Dr. Mahamitra joined the Cooper University Department of Family Medicine and served as Acting Chair from 2016 to 2019. During his time with CMSRU, he has served as the Family Medicine Clerkship Director, M4 Curriculum Director, Active Learning Group Facilitator, and has been involved with numerous HRSA grants.
