CMSRU announces MD/MBA program

CMSRU and Rowan University’s William G. Rohrer College of Business have joined forces to introduce a combined MD/MBA degree program, providing medical students with the opportunity to earn both degrees in just five years. This new program will equip medical students with the knowledge and skills to navigate the increasingly complex healthcare industry.

“In today's dynamic healthcare landscape, the need for physicians to understand the business side of medicine has become more critical than ever,” explained Alisa Peet, MD, associate dean of program development and continuous quality improvement. “This new program offers students a chance to seamlessly integrate business acumen into their medical education.”

Upon acceptance into CMSRU, interested students will have a streamlined application process for the MBA program. They will have the flexibility to begin MBA studies after their second or third year of medical school. To facilitate this, students will temporarily step away from the MD curriculum to focus on MBA coursework before returning to complete their medical degree.
