Amit Joshi, M.D., inducted into prestigious ACS Academy of Master Surgeon Educators

Amit Joshi, MD, FACS, associate dean for graduate medical education and professor of surgery at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU) and designated institutional official at Cooper University Healthcare, has been inducted into the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Academy of Master Surgeon Educators. Dr. Joshi was formally admitted to the academy during a ceremony held Sept. 19, 2025, in Chicago.
Established by the ACS Division of Education, the academy’s mission is to advance the science and practice of education across all surgical specialties and to promote the highest levels of achievement throughout surgeons’ careers. Membership is extended by invitation to individuals who have made significant contributions to surgical education and who continue to demonstrate excellence in the field.
In addition to his leadership in graduate medical education, Dr. Joshi is a valued member of the Cooper University Healthcare Division of General Surgery. He specializes in minimally invasive hernia repair and is recognized nationally for his work in curricular development and surgical education.
